I just wondered what sort of response was/is possible for the FT pink flyers?
We had 10,500 delivered over the last month, got 7 calls. Out of those 3 were a waste of time, 2 didnt book, got 1 job (measly £85.00) & the other quote Ive got tommorrow.
I would have thought that 30 calls is not asking a lot - what do you guys get (for those of you who use them).
Cheers.
p.s. We use A3 folded because we were told that these get a better response! :-\

Yes perhaps 1/10000 is a little low but I find that you cannot right off a leaflet after one month. We still get calls from leaflets that we delivered 12 months ago. I think that if you are to consider high volume deliveries like this then you need to do it constant month in month out for this mass leafleting method to work.

I agree with Goron,
Although I'm not an FT man I do put 5k leaflets out a week and at first the response was very poor. Stick with it and be committed and the phone will start to ring. I am now cleaning 5 days a week, sometimes 6 and sometimes have someone to help as work gets a little too much. My main source of leads are leaflets, I have only recently started to look at other methods of generating leads.
Persevere and the the phone will ring, do the same area again in about a months time. I found that the third drop was really where the money came rolling in.
Hope this helps

Hi
There has been a lot of talk about leaflet response times etc, amount per week, month.
I do not leaflet as much as I should but put some into a shop near me.
1 was picked up by a lady who has cleaned for 19 years, she called and I did one carpet for her as a test and now i am to be her main CC, would expect anywhere from £5000 + from this 1 leaflet.
Don't despair it's a numbers game, you just never know who is going to pick it up, try asking at dry cleaners if you can put leaflets there, maybe give an incentive of some kind?

Make a £10 off voucher and on the other side put all of the benefits of your spectacular cleaning services and have a 1000 printed on good quality paper made to look like a tenner. Put on it 'redeemable on your carpet cleaning' 1 per customer and also 1 voucher per carpet cleaned, hand them out a shopping centre near to where you want to work.

Thanks for your help lads. I will be doing the same number evry month so hopefully it will work. Its the outlay though - at £488.00 a go and only £85.00 back!...ouch. I really need them to work soon so as to at least pay for themselves.
Has anyone got any approx response figures for these pinks? I really need to know.....THANKS ;D

I was so surprised yesterday when a lady called and when i turned up to give her a price, she showed me a flyer of ours which was three years old and funny enough i managed to book a job worth £230.00. it just goes to show how some people keep these flyers for such a long time.

How did you get your leadlet distributed, did it get distributed.
Is this the first leaflet you have tried.
Did you do home survey.
I really feel for you but we have all lost money from time to tine.
Personally if this was your first leaflet I would test myself before I commit to heavey expenditure
get wife , brother etc to give you a hand to put out.
Alternitively keep the faith.
If I was you I would do a Special Offer A5 leaflet for Jan and Feb and try Pink Flyer March. onwards

I was on Fast Track and know all about the pink flyer. ( Not paying £ 4,000.00 a year again).
I have been delivering a few thousand here and there and got a local man to deliver a few thousand. Up until a couple of weeks ago I was using white paper, and then used the pink paper= much more expensive paper. I know its only one drop, but it didnt make any difference at all.
I would stick with white, with the pink flyer message. A5 paper as they are easier for customers to keep.
The thing was I did my own leaflet drop for the first time this spring. I delivered for three hours, only a few hundred leaflets and got about 5 jobs from it. I thought this is a doddle...... Gone downhill since though :o
You either are lucky or unlucky with them. I will be doing a special offer one of one sort or another in January.

try a different leaflet or a different distributor, that response rates rubbish i would expect about 10 jobs and around 20-30 enquires from that within a week or two of delivery and then a few calls here and there in the months to follow
-
I dont know whether it is the distributor (not doing them properly) or if its the time of year. I thought that because we are normally busy this time of year, that any enquiries for this month I could then push over to Jan. But I just havent had the calls!
I suspect it may be the distributor? Its a company called Dor 2 Dor and they are a franchise. I personally dont like franchise's but what else can I do. The Royal Mail wont do anything until Jan/Feb with an 8 week lead.
I was just curious as to anyones tracking figures though. Someone must be doing them?? I just want to know what I should be expecting (on average at least!).

Is the Alltec 'FastTrack' worth the money?
And if others who are/have been on this programme would care to comment, here or via email, I would be much obliged.

The response rate that we get from our leaflets is about 0.5%-1%. Despite we target a specific area, I suppose it is a lottery...
