Hi Guys
We work for four letting agents, however during the last 6 wks work is drying up..... a mate of mine tells me I should be offfering ' a commission' to get the work. Any of you guys have a similar experience. If so what do you offer!?
Cheers

Hi, I agree dependant on your area you may find things generally quite at this time of year.
Are Letting Agents your only clients?
Expansion: Try adding more agents to your list or clients generally.
Research: pop in and have a chat with them with the view to finding out how they are doing in the current market.
Feedback: You might want to do a survey on how they find your service and if they require any improvements or additional services that you may or can offer.
Promotion: Any promotions you offer i.e. 'commission' should also be flexible with the view to you adapting it throughout the year.
Try to be forward thinking and not only devise a promotion for this slow period. Keep yourself at the forefront of their minds at all times. Remembering to touchbase (call-in) from time to time.
I hope this helps

We work for letting agents, developers, builders, but not excusively. There has been a drying up recently no doubt about it, but we were warned that the run up to xmas would be like this, and to expect an avalanche in jan and feb, we'll see what happens. Suppose the moral is to spread the client base , commissions ? no way !
We've had clients tell us cleaners have approached them with 'rebate' and refund' offers, they just want the job doing properly, after all, its the tennant who ultimately pays !

It is times like this that you need to do courses so that you have add ons you can bolt to the business to set you apart from others!
For example you could offer to
Re Color Grout in Bathrooms
Remove etch marks from Coffee Tables, Dining Tables, Marble Hearths or Bathroom Vanity Units.
New Silicone in Bathrooms or Kitchens.
Deep Cleaning of Tiled Floors and Grout
Re Sealing
Cosmetic Repairs
All this with just one course ??? ???
