The flexible hose that connect the blower to the waste tank on my TM is nearing the end of it's life as I think it was probably cut too short to start with.
I'm having trouble finding a 3in. 76mm. hose that will withstand the vacuum and it occured to me plastic solvent weld pipe would be a better alternative with smoother airflow, anybody tried this? Anybody have a hose supplier who has the flexible stuff if I can't source the plastic stuff?

Try Hydramaster :D

My names Roelants Paul not Rothschild ;)

Dave,
You could try these, they seem to stock a wide variety of pipes and fittings.

Would you kindly let me know if you track some down Dave as having the same problem.

Dave its marine wet exhaust hose must be wire reinforced
Something like in the link below Cheers Tony

No good on my setup Tony I'm afraid, it's just not flexible enough to fit where it needs to but thanks anyway.
-
Reckon your always going to be between a rock and a hard place on this one, Dave.
Flexibility is always going to have to be compromised on the strength required for a 4 series blower
-
I use a 56 blower and use 2.5 vacuum hose it does not need to be exceptionally strong, after all it only take the same power as the vacuum hose leading to the wand.
you can (almost) use any hose that fits
I also use drainage, plastic 90 degree elbows to aim the hose at the waste tank

Mike I've had 2 lots from Pirtek, both reinforced with a steel coil, the first collapsed inwards restricting the flow, the secnd retracted all it's coils like a snake and then kinked! 2.5in is the biggest normal carpet cleaning vac hose in this country but I need 3in for my setup so what I'm going to do is use 2 90deg s/s elbows giving me an almost straight run and join them with marine exhaust hose
-
Dave how can it possible crush steel coil reinforced hose but not normal T/M hose? they both handle exactly the same implosive power, unless it was at a very tight bend.
bit of a radical idea but if it is a straight run then why does it need to be flexible.... use 3 inch fallpipe!!
-
If its almost a striaght run and you need a small bend then this may help

They do other stuff too.
