Title: strange ladder strap story
Post by: bobby p on November 26, 2011, 08:10:52 am
about 2 years ago i started using Master lashing straps(silver buckle) to hold down my ladders instead of clamps as they are much quicker to put on and off . i bought 2 pairs in B n q  and never gave them much thought. They worked great Until i started employing lads
Each and every lad ive employed has been forgetful at times to remember to put his strap on before climbing back into the van , meaning that although ive put the strap on at my end his strap is rattling on the roof of the van until i stop a mile down the road and he gets out to put it on .
Well last week this happened yet again but this time  i was humming along on the A14 doing 60+ when the forgotten strap flew off the roof and away under a Mondeo behind me . You clumsy oaf Lewis ,but hey theyre only a few quid ,so off i go that evening  into Bnq but oh no,the design of the buckle has changed to a black colour and its a real pain to fasten so i dont buy

Technology---  back home i log onto Amazon and find the strap of silver exactly as   the original. decide to LASH OUT and buy 2 .  in the meantime alerting the lads to the new straps on order and i dont want to lose these puppies ,have you heard me ?
But when they arrive theyre not the ones in the Amazon photo, theyre the new black design that is pants to use- exchange of emails and back they go in the post

Order another set of the silver darlings from a different firm,,,,,, can you guess,,,, when they arrive yet again theyre different to the ones in the online photo and the black  pants design YET AGAIN . Yesterday i posted them back in the post .....
