hi all ,
am a trad cleaner who has dug some poles out to use in case of snow, and i cant use my ladders,
they are not wfp ,
i use a car with a thule roof rack which i remove when i have finished my weeks work ,
now the question , is there a quick release clip or system for fastening the poles to roofrack. at the moment i lie them on my ladders and hold them with ladder clamps , but i would like to clamp them on the other side of rack so i dont have to remove it to get at my ladders.

you could use zip ties. you would have to cut and use new ones each time obviously but they would be strong enough.

I'm sure someone used ski pole holders once, not sure where you would buy them though.

Not sure how safe it would be-probably a daft suggestion-but what about some smaller bungee straps?

I picked up a couple of pairs of twisty ties (they are rubber coated and some sort of very bendy wire inside) from my local poundland today, very useful and cheap, they'd do the job. Maybe you can find them near you ? ;)

hi ,
all good ideas , will look into the ski pole holders,
i use to work in the sunbed industry , was thinking of the clips , you use to clip the sunbed tubes onto the alluminuim.
something like that anyway

I always carry my poles inside my van, laying between the seats down into the footwell. if i had to put them up on the roof bars i would use big spring clamps that i see up the market

Neoprene carp fishing rod bands good grip and stretchy I use them for detailing windows at height. There sure to hold ur poles!!!
