my problem is the van freezing overnight , i was ok last year as i just put an oil filled rad in however this year i can,t run a lead to the van so need a stand alone solution and i was asking if the fogwash or similarhas a frost setting that turns it on to stop the overnight freezing problem regards alan

the fogwash doesn`t have a frost protection but they can be fitted to work with a fogwash. the least complicated way is fill up in morning from a static system and have know water in the tank over night also the fogwash can be drained as can the pump. i have to run my electric out onto the street but i live in a quiet corner so can get away with it.
other option is a lpg burner but will become expensive to run everynight

you can buy a proper night heater for about £100 off ebay, a night heater can be set to maintain temperature inside the van overnight, some vans and most lorries have them as standard gear.
they're top notch, our transporter has one and I can start the heater from the remote, I turn it on about half an hour before we leave on freezing mornings to clear the windscreen etc, lovely.

I have a clever guy in India working on something like that for me. He's SLOW,.. but hopefully the end result will be worth the wait. I'll post pics etc when I have it.
