Hi all,
I have looked at the search forum for messages about dustmites, but a lot of the messages are from 5 -6 -7 years ago.
So I am wondering what are the latest thoughts on cleaning carpets and a mattress which apparently has dust mites as the husband has asthma and exhma (spelling).
I know about Alltec Pro Mite, but does anyone have any other cleaning solutions for the above?
Thanks
Ben

Look on Ashby's web site they recently did training on Mattress Cleaning
-
Ive posted elsewhere, M Power works well on mattress's.
What ever happened to Allergstop ?? (if thats the correct name) they did some good applications for dust mite allergens, although I believe M Power or its equivalent will work just as well.

Thanks for the info. I will check out MPower

Dont know if they still do it but Alltec's Trafic Lane Cleaner (not Traffic Lane De-Greaser) used to have the capability to kill dustmites. Cant see why it cannot be used on uph, as I dont think it is high ph.
I remember it being blue liquid (5 ltrs) whereas their traffic lane de-greaser was orange.

Isn't there that stuff called Allerguard made by the same people who make Stainguard. Again I think its on the ashbys website.

Yes...well....thankfully I didn't fall for the "You can only buy/sell/use this product if you buy a license from us first" trick, although many did.
Didn't Solutions lose their own license to distribute which was taken on by another lot.

Neil, I've seen this mentioned a few times but it was before my time - what was that all about? I understand that allergstop was offered as some kind of franchise?

I can't remember the exact details other than you couldn't use the stuff unless you 'bought into the dream' first.
Personally I'm against all this steralize the world stuff. One of the reasons why there are more and more people suffering from allegies is because they haven't built up any resistance to the simple things in life.
I can see it now, the year is 3012 and the human race is just about extinct because the human body has no resistance to anything.....why? because we set about steralizing everything.
I mean what this stupid soap dispenser as seen on TV that you can get soap from without actually touching the dispenser :o It contains soap which you are just about to wash your hands with ffs but you don't want to 'risk' touching a germ first do you >:(

Lol yeah, I think you have a point. Always the kids with OCD mothers seem to have the cold, and the kids who are out rolling in mud are never ill!

It doesnt steralise, it breaks down the proteins in the droppings which cause the allergic reaction, very important distinction.
;D
Hand soap dispenser is brilliant what a fantastic peice of marketing, I have brought this up many times, if you touch a contaminated button, dispenser what ever, you will wash of the contaminants off once you have applied it and run the water, so whats the point !!.
I think the penny has dropped with loads of consumers, you can see them on special offer everywhere, especially Costco.
I wish I had their marketing team working for me, ;D
Come on admit it, hands up who bought one!!!! er hum 8)
