I am curious to hear the coldest day you have ever washed windows in; also; how about wfp; any difference?
Personally I washed windows when it was 25 degrees.
The motivation was that I had bills to pay; but it was tough.
How about you guys and girls? This will be interesting.

0 celcius ,no frost for me ,any sign of ice and i leave it till another day.
I can live with that.

I've worked in about -9 celsius and I hope to god I never have to again too :'(
I think there is an additive in deisel now, but at the time vehicles running on deisel were breaking down because the deisel had gone jelly-like :-\

You sent me out at 6.30am in colder than that. :o
I think when I went out it was about -10 or 11, but it had been down to -13 or so.
I guess this was about 7 years ago.
As soon as the washer touched the glass it froze, as shops don't have their heating on before they open.
It was impossible until they opened and it warmed up.
No problem with domestics, but you can't do sills.

Don't know what temperature i worked in but i used to do commercial window cleaning during the night and a lot of times it was well below freezing.
Fun trying to wash glass when it turns to a slush puppie.
Mind you i learn't how to clean glass fast it was a case of having to.

About 18yrs ago worked in -13c with a wind chill of -20c.
There was about 7" of snow we took turns at standing on the bottom, all we could do was buff with scirm that was hardly damp then polish.
hell I think this job is the best ;D

sub zero wind chills are ok but when the actuall temperature drops below 0c these days its time for another log on the fire and a good book.
Once worked in -62c wind chill when i used to build power lines in Canada, think the actuall temperature was around -38c ish, i'll never complain about British weather again.

how is the weather is your part of texas, i heard in one area that it was unusally cold

anything colder than -3 and i give up,regularly clean at -2 ,scotland is not renowned for its heat

Don't know the temprature but it must have been cold, was on a commercial job all glass fronted started washing the top windows half way along relised that the water was freezing on the glass, so packed up pole ect and went home, went back around miday as it had warmed up a little to find two plumbers vans parked out side (it seems that the buildings occupier had come to work and seen the glass cover in frozen water and though he had had a burst, the plumber had spent over an hour trying to find it)Ooops.

-2 just a couple of weeks ago water freezing on the windows,packed up for a couple of hours then when back out.Got advice from this forum back out first light next day with screenwash in water and it worked a treat

Last Sunday it was 85 degrees. Today it was 26 degrees. We get cold periods but thank goodness they are breif.
When it is the least bit icy or snowy everything shuts down. Wisely so because many people do not know how to drive in conditions other than ideal.
It is true when it is said; "In Texas if you don't like the weather wait a day and it will change". (Except summer)
