Well My van is now completed, the floor is now fibreglassed (now that is what I call hardwearing too) my 650l flat tank is caged and bolted and everything is connected up!
The sign writing is done, and my work clothes are all themed to match my van logo ;)
The work is now easier by a big degree...or faster I should say.
I'm going to contact that Gardiner Pole site with regards to getting the yellow microbore hose, which will make dragging the hose out and reeling it easier and faster (a good site by the way)
So here are a few pics of van and system ;)

this is the view in the back of the van (obviously :-\)

Just in case I run out of space, here are the final 2 photos....
One of the front of the van and one of the side.
And the little man is my own design too ;)

Not bad for a mobile phone eh?
Who'd have thought a phone would have taken pics just a couple of years a ago.

looks good Ian, was it hard to do the floor with fiberglass?

Very nice INDEED Ian ;)
That looks the business mate.
Just one thing... are you a window cleaner by any chance? LOL
No really I like the way you have WINDOW CLEANING as the most prominent thing.
Hmmm think I see enough room in there for a Freedom Trolley for those "hard to get to windows" ;D
I bet you are chuffed to bits with it mate..
Good luck!!!

Ian your tank is the wrong way around the baffles should run perpendicular to
the direction of travel

Roy,
Doing the floor was quite easy, messy, but straight forward, the smell of fibreglass is just starting to fade now...
Neil,
The signage cost me £230 + vat.
Dave,
I'm intending to fit in more baffles to the tank, but there is very little effect facing the way it is, and there is no roll whatsoever.
Fitted the other way the roll effect was more noticable, the van is much more stable with the baffles running the way they are now.
But I am going to get more baffles in there as I said.
But ye gods :o Downpipe is just so bloody expensive!!
Another guy is getting me a trade price on them, so I'll wait a little while.

Thats the way, On my nice new shinney van I have Window Cleaners Massive on it with my website etc. It looks impressive like yours Ian and If mine is anything to go by, your going to pick up some really nice commerical work and some high paying domestic, thats a fact.
Only thing I would say is I dont like it when people just have there moblie number on there van, I think its best to have a landline as well.
I cant wait to see what Matt has to say :)
Good Luck

Very effective Ian. Professional and approachable wording. Some vans use too much/snobby wording which can confuse people.

i would be suprised if i didn't become more acceptable to have just a mobile no. Esp for tradesmen (who don't have secretaries!) If it wasn't for internet landlines would be going out of fashion!
But at the moment it does seem to me still more 'genuine' somehow to have a landline no.

You dont need someone to answer the phone, there is a thing called Call Divet that BT do, where you use your normal land line and you type in what phone ie Mobile number you want it then comes through to that number.
Simple and easy, and never miss a call again.

It's a very nice setup Ian. If I had that I would be tempted to leave it parked up on a big industrial estate for a week or so, in a prominant position. Just carry on working with the old van.
Your certainly not going to be taken for a cowboy. DAI

Nice Van,
Very professional looking. Good to see a colour other than white!
Have fun with it.

I did think long and hard about the phone number, thought about putting the 2 of them on there, but I almost never use my landline and most people (even new customers..or old ones come to that!) always contact me on my mobile.
After reading others comments on here I went for bold and simple, who I am is less important than what I do, therefore the 'window cleaning and phone number' had prominance.
I look at the signage on other vans now, I see some really snazzy ones out there, but most have their company name as the loudest bit, by the time I have worked out what they actually do I'm gone!
I've even been behind one at traffic lights and I have had difficulty seeing what it is they do, and then you also have to be quite close to the van to read the phone number.
And Tosh....whaddya mean shave :-\ it's designer stubble ::)
