Sorry Mat yes the machine would be for maily domestic Carpet Cleaning with the odd upholstery clean chucked in for good measure so really only small stuff. Like I said I have used the Steam Pros and found them to be good machines but would like something a bit more compact due to the size of my van

The Galaxy is ideal for upholstery cleaning, but I wouldn't fancy cleaning carpets with only a 70 psi pump.
It's possible, but it's going to be slow going - and you'll probably wish you'd gone for something more powerful quite soon after you bought it!
I don't know what van you've got, but I've got a customer who drives around in a Ford Fiesta van - with a full size portable in the back. He keeps an air mover on the front seat with the seatbelt wrapped round it!
The Steam Pro Power Max and Power Plus are good machines, and you should be able to pick one up at below list price.
Cheers

Thanks for your comments guys I have a Vauxhall Combo so in fairness I could manage to get one of the bigger machines in but as Carpet cleaning is only one aspect of my business I thought maybe I could get away with some thing smaller I see what you mean Mat about the PSI the powermax and powerplus are rated at 100 PSI.
Thanks Mark a very kind offer which I may take up in the near future my plan is to purchase a machine after crimbo and also to do some more marketing

Hi Mark,
I've been using a prochem steempro with a 70psi pump and single vac for nearly 2 years now. Its done me well but very underpowered. I've just bought a ninja with 135psi pump and twin stage 3 vacs and the dfference in cleaning and drying times are very noticeable.
Before I was using a single jet wand covering 4" to 5" of carpet at a time often needing more than one pass to clean and vac. Now I'm using a 2 or 3 jet wand covering 10" to 12" at a time and only requiring a single pass.
I'd go for at least 100psi with twin vacs, my prochem machine has been 100% reliable but cant comment on the ninja yet as I've only had it a few weeks but has been outstanding so far.
Don't make the mistake I first made, get a better machine and stick with your van. You can have the biggest, best and newest van in the world but if your machine is under-powered and leaving customers carpets / upholstery unclean and soaking wet then you will get no referals or repeat business which is the best type of business you can get.
Hope this helps.
Kind ragards,
Jason.
