Title: CONSERVATORY ROOFS
Post by: DASERVICES on December 01, 2005, 04:08:42 pm

  Hi,

Just want to your advise on how much you charge for conservatory roofs.

Did one today that had 16 sections that was full of algae so took a bit of time
removing it traditional way. If I charge her my rate per hour she may colapse
  at the price.

  Your comments much appreciated.

Hi Doug,

How much did you charge?

I normally work out how long it would take in my head and come to a figure and then quote it.

I quoted one yesterday which will take me about an hour using WFP, and I got it for £30.

Hi Everyone,

Doug, I average in or around two conservatory roofs per week. My minimum charge for this is £45. When the customers see the results, they are more than happy to pay.

  Cheers Guys,

I was going to charge her £25 , this was for the roof and cons windows. I also
cleaned the frames and outside gutter, looked spotless after I had finished.

Took around 2.5 hrs to do, so may try for £30 and see what she says.

   Thanks for your advise.

£30 seems a bit low if you cleaned the whole conservatory.

If a conservatory was going to take me that long to do then I would be charging £50 minimum.

I always quote everything other than windows i.e. gutters, conservatories etc... on how long it would take me.

i would say bout 1 hour to 1 hour + 1/2. if im doing a customer who is not a window customer, i start from  75 then add on for windows as a one off etc. the most ive done was for cons, cladding fascias and underneath of gutters one off windows...cost £200 and took 2 1/2 hrs,  and that was with just using wfp..they were very happy as ive had 2 recommendatrions of them!!! but in those 2 1/2 hrs i work my nuts off, am ready for bed after..lol!!!
