Title: The ruddy weather! What's it like where you are?
Post by: windows_chepstow on December 01, 2005, 03:41:20 pm
We have this post, or something similar every other month; at least, but the weather here in South Wales has been utterly miserable for the past couple of days, with no let up in the near future.

It's been dark, grey, gloomy and wet.  We took a half day yesturday and this afternoon we soldiered on till we were soaked and had had enough.

Still, it hasn't been the 'next Ice-Age' as predicted by Ian_Giles.

What's it been like in your kneck of the woods?

Travelled 25 miles to earn £55. It's crap here in north wales too.
I havn't collected for last week yet and for a first time, I'm going to have a megga collection on Sunday.
Bought 1000 envelopes yesterday, going to try the S.A.E. method.
Collecting this time of year does my head in. DAI

Hey!
We've had a very early taster of the cold weather that is in front of us, we are not even into the cold part of winter yet either!!
I feel it in me bones this year :'(

I want to be wrong, I want you all to be taking the pee out of me in 3 months time and telling me what I wally I was....

Don't think you will though...sigh :-\

Chucked it down all morning here in Newton Abbot.
Only did a couple of cleans and got completely soaked so came home.
Had one customer ask why was i going and not cleaning her windows today.
Cleared up about lunchtime but i couldn't be bothered to go out again.

Naff again today.  It lashed down first thing, so we had breakfast at Tescos, then soldiered on till 1.30 pm when we sacked it; soaking and went for a pint.

I hope next week is better, but I don't really care too much.  December's bills are just about covered and most of the Christmas presents are bought.

It was a different story this time last year, but then I'd only been window cleaning for 18 months.

So I don't mind this naff weather as much as I did last year!
