yes but groupon and gumtree is exactly the same you offer a first clean, then up the price, the guy from gum tree is doing no different except he keeps all the money paid, the guy from from groupon only gets half, this is a perfect example of what is a bad idea as someone tried the cheap first clean and you have stepped in and beat his regular price, nothing wrong with that but can you see where I am coming from, that makes you an under cutter, but he undercut everyone to get a chance at the job, so everyone is under cutting everyone else. not that I have a problem with that, that is business at the end of the day

sorry I am not accusing you of anything, I am stating how silly the whole undercutting thing is
someone offers a cheap price on groupon, someone else does it on gumtree then they bump the price up, the customer either accepts or not, and go for the best deal they can find, in this case it was you, nothing wrong with that. I am struggling to explain this to be honest you either get it or not, I hope some get it

he wasnt from groupon or gumtree
just canvassed apparantly and both agreed at £6 every 4 weeks
then next time without he decided he would charge £18

yes, I have no doubt he was out of order, and you were within your rights to take advantage, but from what I have read the only thing he did wrong was put the price up after a clean, and fully deserves to lose it.
he used the cheap first clean method to gain customers just like you are, no ??? ok he did it the old fashioned way by knocking the door and then chancing his luck on the second or third clean
how is that different to groupon, admittedly he sounds a bit dodgy, and I am sure you will benefit from this

agree to disagree m8!
All im saying is when im on groupon im offering a one off service.
After or during or before the clean im offering my services on a regular basis, theres no obligation for them to have me back!We agree a price and then i come back and thats what they pay every 4 weeks!
