Title: computer spec question

ok not exactly a window cleaning question but need a new laptop for business as old one too slow.

what sort of spec should I be looking for

last 1 has celeon2 chip and cant recall ram ... think it was 128 ??

whats a decent spec nowadays - no games just workhorse

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9000 @2.00GHz
Memory 4.00 GB
System type   32- bit

is that good ??

Smudger - that's fine. Wouldn't stress about an upgrade for a good few years!

Ian - these days it's difficult to go wrong with a PC/ laptop as they're so powerful. Unless you edit HD video and/ or play serious games you'll be fine no matter what. I'd recommend forking out about £400.

A minimum specification for the price would be 4Gb memory, 500Gb hard drive, 15" screen along with a DVD writer. Processor wise I'd lean towards something from Intel rather than AMD but in the end it doesn't matter as it'll do the job you want!

if its just used for browsing and work stuff then go for lee's min specs and save some dosh.but depends what you want from it.
