I've got 80 sq M of blacktop to remove.
How much do you reckon (please)?
-
easy access, no furniture to move, £160
-
Access OK but furniture to move.
Client will replace if it cannot be cleaned.
my instinct is telling me £ 200+

Gary
You beat me to it
What ever price we come up with? (2.5 and that’s cheap and tax deductable) would that also include the gum underneath it? ;)
-
£200 + VAT if applicable, but be ready to be knocked down slightly, especially if it's an Indian Restaurant.
If dead set on £200 go in at £240. You might be lucky, especially if you've worked for them before.

Thanks everyone,
It's not an Indian restaurant but there is a lot of gum (one bit was hidden until I did my test patch!).
I had forgotten the "delights" of cleaning really dirty carpets.
For what it's worth, my figures came to just over £ 230. If I do not get it, it is not the end of the world.

Did one today, 62m2, charged £140, but asked for £165 before bargaining, still not sure I would want to do it again though!
-
£280+vat, like it or lump it no bargaining.
A test clean would probably seal the deal so if you've already done that and produce a little patch of miracle you can name your price ;)

If I'm not keen on a job [like the one described] I'll try to price myself out, but to a point where if they say go ahead, it's worth my while...
So, I'd go with Jim's quote.... :)

black top carpets are what cleaning is all about IMO, love em, the dirtier the better. dirty carpets = amazing results= even happier customers=more referal work.
well thats the theory anyhoo ;D

It will be the chewing gum that will take a while to remove if there is lots of it.
