Post by: kaz and pete on November 16, 2011, 07:38:07 pm
hi bought two clx poles from gardiner in april had a few niggly problems but the one pole where it extends out the stop has come off is there any one who knows how to fix this.  also one of the poles never seems to tighten up very well and tends to twizz round while i am trying to work can be a little annoying.  Can any one help with these two problems  ???

Alex, quick question, have you had any issues with the pole screw attachment on brushes cracking the bit where you put to screws in to attach to the brush head.

Simply take the section out and take off old tape.put one and a half wraps of new insulating tape on and gently slip it past the clamp on section its going in.adjust clamps for tightness when extended.any section that spins is usually worn if adjustment doesnt work.check the clamps though for thread/barrel damage.if so replace.

Its a 10 min job.

if it spins when closed maybe run on some aridite around the inch by clamp, wait to dry this will stop it spinning when closed, lasts a while, found this out by mistake when gluing a loose clamp.
