Post by: mark joyce on November 16, 2011, 12:58:50 pm
Hi all just had a call from a customer wants me to have a look at a stain on a wool carpet (beige) her sons mates were messing with shaving foam over the weekend and there are several piles of it on the carpet she says it has taken the colour out of the carpet (is this possible) Im going round later to have a look any ideas

A lot of bathroom toiletries, lotions and potions contain peroxide....

So it could well have bleached the carpet....

She may have tried to clean it up herself with the old Vanish / 1001 type products and caused the damage with them.

wow had crystallised so vac'd that up some soapy crusty marks flushed them away to leave an area that was as clean as a whistle colour gone as well looks like it has bleached the carpet (what is in that gear) to be fair it did not look to bad in the end if you can put up with a few blotches
