I don't know bout commercial, but domestic works a treat. why not give it a go?

I started 8 years ago on windows with my brother, we split the eoubd and my wife wanted to work with me. she was only on min wage as assistant manager in retail so big pay jump, less hassle, and good company (working with me, lol)

couldn't have worked out better, can take holidays/days off whenever suits. customers like having girl on round too, so gud for business. would prob struggle with high stuff but my good lady did 6 years traditionally (with a little help from beer crate to reach windows!) and last 2 years on wfp with 18 foot glass xTel poles

if your wife has to work. might as well be for family business! no pride lost there, its common sense unless she can earn more money elsewhere!

as for seeing too much of each other, with traditional it could get bit much, for us we found it ok, but you are together all day and night! not always good thing, unless she is just working part time..... Ali could now work 2 days on windows and make same or more as 4 days shop work. no brainer for me.  but with wfp we hardly get to talk to each other now lol, as we are at separate houses. (not always a bad thing ) ;D :o :-X

My missus comes out with me one or two days a week. It's great, she does all the nattering stuff with the customers and I do the work.

I get more work done without having to stop and be sociable.

It works fantastically for us.
We do part trad and part wfp. The only I don't do is the tops trad - at the moment but am getting more confident with ladder work so am planning to progress to this in 2012.
If you're going to give your wife a chance try not to lose patience with her. I know I was utter rubbish for the at least the first month.
Customers love it, you can share the chat to make you more efficient also.
I do have to say that I don't think all women could hack it. If she's the sort that worries about breaking a nail or moans about getting cold/wet might not be a good idea....

just cus on the tools doesn't mean can't look sexy, or glam. my profile pic was taken while on windows, think she can look pretty hot while blading off the lower half  of a set of patio doors...

depends I guess also where your priorities r, and also on whether you want to workk with someone you fancy the pants off, or jack the lad whose pants are unfortunately more off than on!

Sue (my better half) has worked for the business for the past 4 years, not on windows however, primarily office based, wages and invoicing but she also stands in for domestic and commercial cleaners when needed.

There was once a report I read about a commercial shipping line that only allowed the Captain's wife on board with her husband for a max of 3 weeks in any calendar year. The reason for the company's policy was that they found that any longer period the wife started to influence the Captains decisions.

I'm sure you will find that after a couple of weeks, you are doing it wrong, you talk to much to your customers and you aren't charging enough.  ;D ;D ;D

We do part trad/part wfp. What I meant was that with the ladder work don't see why it should just be the other half that does it. Us girlies are perfectly capable of climbing ladders!  ;D
