Thinking of trying to add window cleaning to my existing set up
Looking at domestic and light commercial work

would this be ok to start out or not??
also training etc...??
advice welcome

Don't get a trolly, pain in the butt, just go straight for a van mount, look on Youtube for WFP and get some training but there is alot of idiots that don't have a clue,Adders on here is quite good though ;)

Size van mount?.... with looking to add it to my existing stuff i will technically be starting out in the window cleaning game..
I have a fiat scudo... it does me mint for my set up ... if i went van mount how much room would it take up ... i still would need at least half the load space for other equipment chemicals etc..
Thanks
-
Hi - you could get away with 500 upright tank and it would only take half the room in the back no probs in a scudo - I've got an expert with 600 and have plenty of room .
I'd say go for the biggest you can get without compromising the space you need coz the window/gutters/facias/conny roof cleaning side will take off before you know it chap :)

Trolley would be fine. A van mount is better if its your main business. If you start with a trolley you can always sell it on as and when you get enough custards.
To go to the expense of a van mount and to loose half the space you have without a customer does not make sense to me.

Good feedback chaps
lee - thats exactly what i was thinking with the trolley
how many extra water containers etc would you require to carry you recogn
i take it you can still do gutters etc,, from a trolley system?
what pole length would you recommend also ?
where or who would you recommend for a trolley system??
thanks

I would look at pure freedom their trolley seems to be the most rated on here.
I would also try and learn from some local to you the dos and don't.
You will need to produce and store water, or buy it. 10 25 ltr containers will do between 10 and 20 houses depending on size but all your first cleans will take 2 or 3 time the water a maintenance clean will.

tap water is useless I am afraid you need to purify it, either through a di or di and ro system
-
did you think we all used tap water in our tanks? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
trolley system will be fine.then if you want to go van mount at a later date just add a tank and 100m of microbore.
if you end up getting a lot of window cleaning work then lugging barrels about will become a pain and waste time when you could spend that time cleaning.ok as a starter system though.
check your tds from the tap.under 80 i would go for DI only.if its over then you ll have to buy an RO system to purify your water.
22ft clx is a good budget pole for starters.
