Same here, sometimes I have to close the tab then open a new one then open CIU again >:(

At the moment I have 2 football forums open, facebook and CIU
The other 3 respond fine it's just CIU that can take ages to load or finally gives up and gives me a 503 error. So on that basis it must be this site

It's often quicker to close the tab and open a new one as Neil said.
There seem s to be no pattern to when it slows down or just freezes up altogether.

I get these spells where the forum runs really slowly sometimes.  It depends on quite a few things, which mean some people don't get affected whilst others do.

Your ISP is a big factor, as is Server location.  The internet is channelled through networks of cables a bit like a road network, through data centres which could be seem a bit like busy roundabouts in rush hour traffic.

CIU is hosted on German servers, so if your ISP uses a network whose route to that sever is rammed with traffic you'll get page timeouts etc.


If anyone can be bothered.....

you can go to windows accessories and find a program called "command prompt".  Type the following and press enter:

tracert 78.46.110.53

This will trace your route to the CIU server.  The info given tells you ping times between each "hop" on the route so you can spot where the crap link is.

Did a clean up with my anti virus as paul said it might be a virus..

It gets slow around peak times I find, just after 5pm, and about 9pm on occasion
