Probably been discussed many a time but whats your detergent of choice for traditional. Is there a big difference between the different brands.
Cheers

I've got gg4 but I would go for fairy. Every shop I go to I point it out to the wife, she thinks I'm mad. "OOw look love, a litre for a quid"  ::)

Thanks fellows.
As a carpet cleaner branching out into window cleaning I was expecting the usual wide remarks normally found in the carpet cleaning section. Thanks for the comments.

I used to go out of my way to get to a small village shop  because they sold Happy Shopper Washing liquid ,, and i have tried most of the Speacialist Detergents ,,
Just dont think they give the Glide over washing up liquid , and are`nt as forgiveing if you need to detail ..

Plus the customers always point out the lack of sudds with the gg range. " Is your water clean?"

i used fairy for years but i hate the stuff for window cleaning now especially as i wfp some work one month and trad it the next(ground floor only)depending if i want to save water or certain weather conditions.(if its freezing temperatures then trad,if its raining then i wfp the lot!).its too sticky and soapy for my liking.

i use a mix of gg3/squeegee off together.i find it gives plenty of slip,a little suds and a cracking shine.washing up liquid is just wrong for window cleaning IMO and its usually cheapskates and people who dont take window cleaning seriously that use the stuff.........or doley tradders like "one scrim bob"!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I like syr glimmer clean, cheap and last for a while.

Unger liquid is ok, Unger pill is useless.

Ettore squeegee off is good, probably has the best glide and cleaning power but also the most expensive.

GG4 I found I had to put loads in. GG3 haven't tried yet, but will do next time my local shop has it.

Fairy just too messy but very good at degreasing.

This is the last lot i had from a supplier ,, like i said earlier , washing up liquid is more forgiving ,but this was used through summer ,, and would reccomend this over Glimmer Clean ,,

Unger liquid or squeegie off. Fairy leaves a film on the window which is why the trad boys love it so much, the windows get dirty again quicker. There thats you lot grassed up.

as long as you take off what you are putting on they are all much the same, gg3 /4 is better when used with sorbo easygluide

Big orange 'rubbish' good for cleaning cars.

Washing up liquid might clean it better than before you started ur house but rubbish stuff.

Sorbo glide even worst than the above I have a full tub in my garage that's never gonna get used again.

fairy

why?

because it does the job and sooooo easy to get hold of as everyone sells it.

not so great on local chippy or mcds greasy paw prints but at around a £1 per bottle it does the job.

soft on the hands aswell  :o
