Title: Craftex Degreaser
Post by: Simon Gerrard on November 09, 2011, 06:50:34 pm
I got some Craftex Degreaser to try out but it froths up like hell and doesn't really do anything that Ultrapac or Citraboost doesn't do. God knows how you porty guy's gone on with it frothing up your machines. Every time I try Craftex products they seem to come a poor second to similar products from more recognised brands, or I'm just a fussy git, one or the other. Apart from their Rust Remover which is brill. :'(

I tried that degreaser but I found power wise it was a poor 2nd to ultrapak I think their disinfectants.are good but I have come to the same conclusion as you.

I think their products are overpriced too considering they pretty much second rate and no discounts either. :'(

Their prices are their prices I'm a believer in what they set it their business if I choose to buy at that price well that's my choice, I don't know of one supplier that has my total attention.

I do like to try different chems if only to gauge how good your first choices are and to see if anything better has come on scene. SPM being the latest result of that policy.

Craftex degreaser is excellent on flat weave suites. Being neutral ph it is also safe to use. Mix some up in a bucket and use the foam to agitate with.

That would be a first in my experience. I have a customer in Dundee that uses Champion AS A RINSE!

John,
Why bother when Fabric Restorer does the job without the hassle or Ultrapac without the foaming up you get with degreaser.

I rate a few of the Craftex products.
The De foamer, Champion and Rust remover are all brilliant imo.
I carry Prochem, Craftex and a few chemspec.

pH of those two is a little high for cotton imo.

degreaser is great for white cotton, does foam a bit but not that much. foams loads if you use a acid rinse or have the smallest amount in your tank,   been using it for 24 years now, not on much else but cotton suite its the kiddy
