Title: Found my ideal pole / hose set up
Post by: Ian101 on November 09, 2011, 06:35:40 am
Tried quite a few different pole hoses in an attempt to find one that dont kink / tangle / tie itself in knots.

Photo shows my ideal set up of

Gardiners Pole

Gardiners Resi Neck

Pure Freedom 5mm braided pole hose    (30 metres enough to do 2 poles)

Gardiners Tap

Gardiners 6mm to 8mm inline bore adaptor

P/F pole hose is great as it dont hardly kink and if it does very easy to untangle.

Having the tap at the brush end saves time and water. - not my idea but seen how Mr Gav "Gerrooff my patch I own Buckley, North Wales" Camm has his set up  ;)

The resineck is great as keeps brush flat on glass no matter what the angle especially good on connys with tight work space also saves time as now able to do more from one spot and defo quicker on awquard windows.

just need to replace jubilee clips with some O rings to tidy it up a little.

The Gardiners pole tap not really designed to fit the P/F braided hose however if you drop the tap into a cup of boiling water first it makes the job of getting the P/F braided hose into the red fitting a lot easier - I also marked off 6mm of the end of the hose so I knew it was in far enough.

Easier with tap on the pole.
Your not saving water if your pulling pole down from 27ft high.
Tap on the pole is near your hand all the time to turn on and off.

got a gardiners pole tap on my slx30, i only use the slx30 when its needed when my 18 wont reach, i hate having to have to hold it whilst using the pole and find myself wasting a lot of water,

got a aqua dapter on my slx18 and i cannot be without it,

Hi Dazmond will let u know if it tightens up but rekon not tbh only thing missing from it is a way to lock it quickly like a push button or summit rather than having to use a screwdriver
