I have a powerflite but i cant think of any hole on it that has foam in it! whereabouts is this hole?

Also, you have opened it up and checked all the pipes are still  connected to the pump and the heater as these can "pop off" if they have become loose.

dont know the power flight first hand but would think you have either sucked up and over filled the waste tank and its in the motors, just run motors till it stops then run for about 5/10 mins to dry out OR something has come loose water pipe probably

If water is coming out of the vac exhaust, it is because there is water in the vac impellar housing. If it has been sucked in from the waste tank, it will be dirty water coming out.
As the vacs inlet hose is attached to the waste tank, that's the only way water can get inside it.
When I was a porty user my last machines safety waste water full level, cut out,  stopped working and waste water would often blow through the vac exhaust onto a strategically placed drip mat.
Dave.

When you say directly under the machine, do you mean
centrally or to the side in front of the rear wheels.
