Title: Briggs & stratton 11hp + annovi
Post by: evil genius on November 07, 2011, 10:50:53 pm
Hi folks.
Still looking for a jet wash.
Have been offered a Briggs Stratton setup using a 3000psi annovi pump.
It's around 4 years old but wel service and only done recently.
Been offered it for £325

What are B&s engine like in caparison to Honda and has anybody heard of annovi pumps?

Thanks for your help.
Ian

Annovi Reverbi( A n R ) pumps are phenomenal pumps. I have one fitted to one of my Yanmar engines.

They are of high quallity and a lot cheaper than Interpumps!!!

Can't comment onthe pumps cause I've never used one but I think alot of the carpet cleaning machines have Briggs motors. BDCS mentioned Briggs engines, I think he has a couple. For the price it doesn't sound too bad. Second hand machines are a gamble whatever you by IMO.

Thannks for the replys.
So seems the pump is good but not so much the engine.
I've been told the pump has just been serviced and news sealed fitted with paperwork. For £350 dosnt seem to bad if I can get it down to £300
Would it be worth the gamble?

Also a brendon washer in a local advert for £450
It's a gx340 with a 3000psi cat pump. It's says it's a cat 540 but can only seem to find info on cat 530 and 550. Does this sound a little
Better?

Thanks.
Ian

Sounnds like it's probably a cat 45 pump on a 11hp motor, I'd go with the brendon mate, offer them £400 and you have a great machine, well worth the extra money as you get a honda aswell.

thanks for that kenny.
ill give them a ring. i just with it was a little more portable as there machines seem so big for what is just a engine and pump.

while on this subject. is that all it really is, a engine and pump?
as im a builder by trade i have bits lying about and these bits include a GX160 and a old honda 8hp. both engines i have owned for a while and are very wel serviced. is it a case of bolting on a pump and then a frame?
thanks.
