Title: Changing from six to five weekly ??
Post by: Erithwc on November 07, 2011, 03:39:28 pm
i'm thinking about changing all my work two five weekly instead of six weekly because when i go to clean the windows after six weeks the windows and sills are really dirty.

i'm just not sure if six weekly for residential customers is to long.

has anyone else changed their work from six to five weekly did you lose much work ?

thanks paul

we went from 4 to 5 weekly, as 4 came round too quick and was bit swamped with work. most customers didn't mind, had few who preferred 4 weeks and was worried it was getting too long. I imagine 5 is better than 6 for sure, rap if getting too dirty.

give them offer of going every other time (at slightly increased rate!)  ??? 8)

Unless you have told them they are now on 6 weeks, I would change them back to 5 and carry on as normal without saying anything.

No matter when you come, some will think you were only there last week.

Blimey i agree with another comment mine still look clean after 8 weeks.i give my clients the option.generally monthly 6 weekly or bi monthly and some really tight gits every 3 months.generally most of my customers choose every 2 months.
I dont pester the customers i let them choose that way they are more likely to stay with me.

All new domestic is 2 monthly, no choice. It's the only way to keep up.  Commercial is different.  Even at 2 monthly it sometimes seems we are cleaning clean windows.

most of my domestic and commercial is monthly with some every other month and some stand alone 6 weeklies.i dont get any "is it that time already" comments much anymore.although when i got round bang on 4 weekly i did.

i find it depends on the weather.if its been windy the windows are defo dirty and need cleaning!i also find i fair bit of dirty water running down when scrubbing windows that look clean.wfp does make the windows APPEAR to be still clean though.sometimes a few bird strikes on the windows makes me feel im doing something worthwhile!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
