Hey everyone!
This is my first post here, although i regularly have a mooch!
Just wondering if anyone else has used a mentor before? What did you think?
I found a cleaning mentor from the associate page. Thought there was nothing really to lose as he was offering a free 1 1/2 hour consultation. My business is new so its been a real struggle getting enough clients.
We met up last week....Seemed to go well,I was actually really surprised how productive it was. Focused me on what needed to be prioritized, came up with some marketing strategies and goals.
Before I commit I just wanted to hear other peoples experiences were working with a mentor?
Cheers!
Abi

looks like no one has used a mentor :)
so you got the first 1/2 hour free how much will it cost from now on?
I would be careful, its easy to bamboozle some one with limited knowledge.
what advice has he given you so far?

Following on from Mike,
You can get more specific information and help from reading threads on this forum (not all of them ;D ), this mentor Has he been in this industry or is he just a marketing person?
This industry can defy the laws of advertising sometimes..

I presume this is the thread? ... http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=102771.0
They seem to be having a bit of trouble marketing themselves. I'm not sure who they are or what they do.
I would want a list of the cleaning companies that they have helped. I would then check these out and speak to them to find out how they got on. For all we know the company may have a good track record in this industry.

Only mentor I’ve got is the wife ;D

They got no testimonials on their site, I'm am cynical about this sort of thing anyone can set up doing this just tell companies to go to networking meets, put leaflets out tell them get trained, put good adverts out, all generic stuff, just so say tailored to you.
Maybe they have got a good track record, but I'd want proof.

your first post is telling us about a service?
-
Do you think this is a plug?
Do you think it's his company?
Ah lesson one, strategy number one - use forums for free advertising!!

Hi Guiys
A fair chance this is a promotional spoof, web site link doesn't work etc so I am locking it.
Cheers
