Be honest, do you understand the law on ladder use ?

I was reading the hse website, and it stated that any ladder above 6m needs securing !

Yep I've read the hse laws , I got on roof sat , it was slippery as hell ,
Thought sod this it ain't worth the risk & told the custy that ,

I often get customers or people on street saying, yeah, u lot can't use ladders now. I normally say that I don't they can ever ban your self employed window cleaner from using a ladder, but its more difficult for bigger companies that employ. but despite that it is so much safer this way, and when there is a safer way of doing things makes sense to use it. most people agree......tho had 1 I no longer do that preferred me to take the risk and clean them traditionally despite the risks! but wouldn't pay me every month if I broke my legs while cleaning them and couldn't work! >:(
