Title: Inside tube or outside tube?

Hi fellas
My unger pole has an outside tube and i was wondering if it would be best to change it to one that has the tube inside. The reason being that obviously its a bit of a pain with it dangling about when you are moving from one window to another. I have heard though that its not really a great advantage and is it worth paying out over £200 for another pole that will extend to the same height?

Wrap the tube round the pole if it gets in the way.

Ive heard that the tube can become disconnected within the pole and this would cause a lot of problems if its at its full extent. But I am trying to find out what most people use and the for amd against.

I use the unger 18 and 30 ft poles converted them myself to WFP drilled hole near top of first section pop the hose inside thread it through and job done,Gaz

Mine are all inside and never had a problem to-date. ;)

I didn't know you could have the tube on the outside :-[ :-[ :-[

same as gaza, you don't need to buy another pole just drill a small hole near the top of the fin section and a large hole at the bottom of the handle and feed the tube through,

when doing this ensure that you fully extend your pole and have at least 2 mtrs of extra tubbing hanging out of the end

i do the above with my 18ft pole
however with my 30ft pole i run the tube on the outside as it is not used to often and when not in use i leave it rolled up in my van.

I'm going to give that a go, simple enough and it would save a bob or 2.

The guys in Holland use outside the pole pipe. My Carbon fibre came with inside pipe and got on my nerves so changed it back. Its so much more adaptable. BUT I only use 1/4" pipe.

I use a 30ft unger pole. The tube runs on the outside and is held in place with shower curtain rings. Works a treat, Dai

Outside the pole for me too, means you only need one set of brushes for one thing, you can swap from pole to pole with the brush and pole hose, and can also use only the pole sections you actually need.
If you feed through the pole you have no option but to use the whole set of poles.

but each to his own eh ;)
