is this possible guys?
I have a van mount, but instead of just me would like the missus doing some work as well, could i use the van mount for the fronts and she use a back pack for the backs etc, would this work and would it be far more quicker than just me?

This is what i do,but i do all the ups then make a start on the downs as she ain`t as quick as me ;D

this is poss why dont you do the tops wfp and the downs trad?

I use this method,but backpack is abit heavy maybe for your other half .

how much quicker would you say you are as a pair rather than just you yourself though mister David ?

i would have her do the complete back and i would do the complete front ups and downs, i would have the backpack on a trolly so it isnt heavy

what im wondering is how much faster this will be than just me doing all of the windows and will the water use be roughly the same

obviously there is more than you just working,i take it one
wfp the top and the other trads the bottom.
i bet im quicker on my own wfp all over :)

theres also two guys per van stops working alone.
while one is doing the upstairs on wfp the other is doing down on trad
when the wfp finishs they start on down stairs
reason we do trad down stairs as it looks better when a customer comes home and down is dry

When wfp the tops and i tried trad the bottoms i find that the water from the tops drip onto the cils below and bounce onto the dry trad glass.Now does this then leave little white dots as its bounced off a non pure water cleaned cil ?

depends on your flow rate if you use a lot of water then it takes a long time to stop the drips first cleans take longer,
most houses you can clean the front door or windows that have a roof above first and by the time you finish them the windows below a wfp window will have stopped dripping

with the temps still hitting 15-16 celsius at mo,the windows at the front are
mostly dry by the time ive finished the back,you say it looksbetter
for custie if dry when they get home,what if it rains betwen the time
you have finished and they get home, someof the windows are bound to
get hit.
if your trying to conserve water or its the odd problem window it makes
sense to trad
otherwise the extra effort makes no sense to me :)

its just the way we like to work, its quicker to get a belt out then to drag two hoses out and put two hoses back in.
we tried to poles to start with and found it was quicker this way,
Im pretty sad as i time things and try to find ways to shave time off, and this doesnt mean cutting corners

If you are quick at trad then i would of thought the trad(bottom windows)
would be finished before the wfp tops.
But i supose that depends on the window types as well.But a standard window would be quicker trad i would say.

This is a good reason for controlling water use, so that there's less water running down the window and dripping down.
Apart from the WFP vs Trad for bottom windows discussion, whether it would be quicker would also depend on how much she would need to refill?

Yes, of course, with a Trigger or Aqua-dapter I would expect to be able to do quite a few. One customer who uses a back-pack told me that, with an Aqua-dapter, he uses approx 11 litres per semi.
So for backs only maybe 4-5 litres per house, roughly 3 backs of houses per refill of the backpack?
I was really thinking of a row of backs e.g. terraces or compact work in a street. If the van is at one end and the backpack user at the other, a walk to refill after 3 houses might take longer?
If they're individual jobs, then I expect it would be quicker.

Im surprised at that, window for window wfp seems miles quicker, even downstairs. Me and my wife do a house each (semi detached 8-12 quid houses normally), its far quicker. I know some husband and wife combos where hubby does ups and wife down, but would imagine it gets frustrating getting tangled up, and also wouldnt be as time effective.
I like to work efficently too, so I prob am a saddo like you! :-[
