just done a new building with the wfp windows were filthy but didnt have any scraping to do did them with the wfp and after they had dried it got most of the dirt off but they were still dirty marks around the outside of all the frames you could see where it had dripped and some of the windows had a lot of spotting on them and we had to do them a couple more times before we got them right. does anybody have any ideas how to get the windows spotless on the first clean

Clean the frames first before touching the glass especially if it's a first clean. This way they will have plenty of time for all the muck to drip out of the seals etc which you will remove when cleaning the glass.
Don't be tempted to do a couple then nip back and do the glass to save moving hoses etc. as it's not worth it.
Clean the frames until all you can see is clear water running from them.
Do a thorough job the first time and the next clean will be much easier! :)

thanks for the advice rod only thing is if your working on windows 30ft up how can you tell when the water running from them is clear

maybe wash all the frames and windows with normal water, then go back with your pure water and clean properly later on, thats what we have done in the past on really dirty commercial jobs.

try giving them a good clean all over with G101 and warm water then rinse with normal water then use wfp

The biggest mistake I made was trying too much to conserve water.
Following good advice on this forum I increased the flow. This resulted in my doing the job quicker, rinsing better and at the end of the day doing a better job. My water useage hasn't increased either. Dai

yeah not using enough water is a common mistake, if you use plenty of water you don't spend as long on each window and so you probably won't use any more water over the day and might do a good bit more work, I've a rilsan brush that I use for init cleans then I go back over it with the 16inch brush, woks really well.

G101 is a multi-purpose non-caustic cleaner and you can get it from Autosmart.
I use it to clean window frames and gutters, just spray it on leave it for a couple of mins then wipe it off and it brings white plastic back to bright white again. ;D
I dilute mine to 1 part G101 and 5 parts water then stick it in a spray bottle and away you go..

I got a 6 storey clean to do in the city, windows don't look like they have been cleaned in years? what would you suggest? someone told me to use TFR with an in-line flow thing to add it to the pure?
If they wasn't so high I'd probably pressure wash them!!

6 storey clean with TFR :-\ is a big no no unless you do it the trad way..
