Hey fellas,
I've just bought myself a big nice umbrella to go canvassing in the rain, so as to make use of the days I do not work.
Just wondered if any one here does canvass in the rain, and if you do, what sort of response you have.
Thanks in advance for your replies

best results are in daylight and when its dry some people will say no before they even think about it just cos its wet and dark we try to canvass between the hours 4 and 7

I personally wouldn't use a brolly - because you could look more like a double glazing rep, also alot of older people don't seem to answer the door when it's wet or very cold.
I prefer not to canvas in the rain, - when it's light rain I'd just wear the same jacket I would wear when I'm cleaning

With the answers your getting maybe it would be an idea to leaflet drop in the rain and then canvass once the rains stoppped
