wot date are you working until before christmas and wot dates r u returning back to work this is my first christmas being self employed so i dont want to take to much time off and have a back log

Hiya Andy,
The gr8t thing about being self employed is that you can do what YOU want.
Take 3 days or take 10 its your choice (forced by your finances I pressume)
Make hay now and have a rest with the family - that our aim. ;D

I work up too and including Xmas Eve (Which is a saturday this year) then I go back on the Wednesday after New Year (4th Jan 06).
Money loss & backlog of work are considerations BUT for some of us, its the only time we have off all year. That is worth more than money to me.

Go to work xmas eve if you want some extra tips.
I'm normally sozzeled by three with the free drinks.
If theirs a nice day before new year I'll work, if not I chill out and enjoy the festeviates. Learn to live young man.learn to live.

I do this sometimes - but others I hear the hills a calling (Watching the sunrise over the Upper Neuadd Reservoir from the top of a snowbound Pen-y-fan sometime between Xmas and New Year - magic!)

I'll work up until the last friday and go back after new year.
Yes I'll have a week without earnings, but it's only once a year and I can't stand my mates who flock to work like sheep in thier offices telling me how they've got a fortnight off.
When I worked for Ian Giles he had me working every day except Christmas day, boxing day and new years day..... Slave driver. :'(

Well it seemed like it at the time anyway.... ;D ;)

Who the hell said you could have new years day off!!
I have always worked the days the shops are open as they are mostly my customers.
Domestic stuff and offices got left from Cristmas eve until the new year.
Offices are shut, and most people I found didn't want the window cleaner around durting that particular week.
This year I'll just keep working if my shops are open.
