Title: image editing

Can anyone recommend a good, easy to use, free image editing tool to edit before and after shots, for putting them together side by side and merging them... if you get what i mean?
I know photoshop is good but pricey and probably to advanced for what I need
theresa number of free online ones, has anyone ever used these?

I use Print Artist Platinum 24, cost me about £30 and I had a free video creating tool as well. I use it to design fliers, business cards, and my before & after pics. If you search on Facebook for Floors2Show you can see some of the things I've done with it.

My missus does all the websites and we have several serif packs which she really rates as they are simple and all integrate. If you buy direct you get the books but if you buy from amazon they charge extra. They also haggle  ;)

You can simply use Paint built into your PC to join images together for before and after shots and if you wanna put a text over the image or play with the contrast etc Google Picasa is excellent for it.
