Hi Guys having installed by wfp kit into my van last week anybody got any last minute tips before i go out on the road with it tomorrow.
Carried out some test's over the weekend by doing my sister in law ;D and my own windows a few times just a few spotted on the first clean and then improved once re-done today.
just checked my tds in my tank and it is 000 so everything so far looks good :).
any more tips apart from rinse, rinse and more rinse

make sure you have some spares ie hose lips ptfe. glue for clamps screw drivers plyers electrical tape jublee clips and spare hoze lock rectus fittings
-
i found that first cleans with pole took longer than they do now, dont expect to save loads of time on your first time round. you WILL get quicker without losing results.
-
when you start your pump make sure the water runs smooth no bubbles means no air locks, this really applys when youve ran your tank dry and then fill up again, but it got me a few times when i started i was convinced my pump was knackered. hope your day goes well mate

My first clean tip would be to clean them once and then go back and give them another once over again. Since ive started doing this i have not needed to go back for a re-clean.
-
you mean clean and then reclean, inorder to avoid having to reclean? just take a little longer first time round! i have never had a complaint about spots this way either!
-
my advice is be ready to explain yourself about 20 times a day for the next month or 2
-
start buying bigger clothes i am convinced i have put weight on ;D

I agree.
We hear too much about rinsing. There's a brush on the pole for a reason- don't forget the scrubbing.

keep water flow up as high as possible ;)
-
best to give your custys a letter explaning the change over, and explain how the wfp works save a lot of questions

Got a copy ;D saves me typing

no don't do that they will only look for problems, explain to the ones that notice and everyone else will be non the wiser

Do not take on jobs that dont suit wfp ie old painted wooden frames

Just do the tops first time or it will take you twice as long to get round your work!your gona have a pig of a day!it gets better with experience.stick with it!
-
My advice - always keep a container of disinfectant in the van for those days when you get smothered in cat poo like I did today. All over the hose, my pole, my clothes, my gloves and the steering wheel not to mention my boots.
-
well guys i got through it, happy so far but there is time for the phone to start ringing yet asking me what ive done to there windows :)
went back to the 1st 2 that i did this morning to see how they looked and had dryed, both customers in and both happy so just hope the rest are but only time will tell.
Tanks refilling ready for another blast tomorrow, tell you summit thou my arms dont half ache :(
thanks for all the advice guys it being a great help.
-
YOU'RE not supposed to role in it mate ;D ;D ;D
-
;D easy done, tread in it first then stand on the pole hose, extend the pole and up it goes. pick up the hose again with the back of your leg and spread it down your trousers, wind the hose back in whilst guiding with your other hand, coil up the pole hose. Jump in the van and spread it over the steering wheel and gear lever. Brilliant!

:) I use 2 lts per minute and have no problems , the next few weeks will be a little frustrating but it all comes good in the end and you'll never look back :)
