Hiya all Ive just purchased one of peters's aqua showers does anyone have one & what do you think of them also are they easy to fit as I need to fit it to back door somehow as for ventilation of leaving door open any feedback would be much appreciated phots would be great :)

Search Fogwash on here ,they are easy to set up
-
cheers small will do !!!
-
i screwed a a piece of mdf to the top left panel of van, then a block of wood at the bottom, this kept the mdf vertical, then i screwed the fogwash to that, simples.
i will be fitting a vent to the bottom of my van, as i already have a hole there.
-
what was the total cost? thinking of getting one in December.
Cheers
bob
-
i wouldnt leave it that late bob, get one now. £180
-
Pureclean, surely if it runs on gas the vent needs to be above the unit so the fumes can rise out.

i would if i had the £180.00,getting the van ply lined and bulkhead fitted today so have to save a few £ every week ;D

I believe a drop vent would be in order too, so I'm told anyway.
-
will put a pic up later, the vent is going to be one of those bendy ones, it will go up then bend back down to the hole
-

If I remember correctly there is a 20min shutoff on the L5, it can be bypassed with a bit of fiddling. Also there is a summer/winter numpty on the fogwash. I'm sure the Kw is higher on the fogwash as well, but can't remember.

heres my new flue (£10 b and q)

Make a plywood bracket (4 fogwash) and mount it on the back door(s) with self tappers, that way the C.O goes straight upwards with out poncing about with flue's ( btw peter reckons they dont like 90 degree bends?) - Ive got 1 on each back door, to feed each hose reel (via flow controllers). You CAN split 1 hotwash between two reels, but if one man turns his tap off, then your temp will rise. No worries in summer but maybe in the winter!, and thats why i bought another one. Also tim above come up with a good idea of fitting temp gauges to your poles as a precaution, which im now doing, its my first winter so im worried about cracking glass. Watch this space. :)
-
try aving a word with ste m or nat jones
both being using l5s n peter fogwells
hot washes for time ;)
-
Mac if you keep the tem just luke warm then i dont think you will break any glass, do you use the hot water all the time now ...Im fitting mine tomorrow i bought 2 heavy duty metal bars which I plan to put across the back doors and fit the shower to them what worries me if when working with the doors open what happens if it rains and goes down the flute, also do you turn the gas bottle off after every job or just at the end of the day any feedback would be great cheers Rich ...
-
i think its a bad idea installing them on back doors, for security reasons. i would never leave my van open unattended. make a hole in the floor like mine, or vent through back door
-
Pure is that 15 mil poly pipe directly attached
To your reel? If so what connector is that and does
It leak??
Thanks ray

Yes rc, your prob right it wouldnt crack glass but i just wanted to be sure ;), plus there would be split hoses all over going in & out of hotwash when running two reels. TBH ive not really used them yet as im waiting for the cold to come - aslo re: rain, im going to cover them when not in use, BUT if it rains whilst were working with it, ITS a problem. When i get time im going to give peter fogwill a call and see what he reckons, as he told me most pepole mount them to the backdoor. cheers m

yes it is, its connected with a female adaptor. what happened last winter was i broke a female adaptor on my pipe run which was made of 1/2" and 3/8" pipes, and they can only be bought online. so i was out of action for a possible few days, plus the adaptors are about £5 each. i decided to change them all to 15mm pipes/fittings which can be bought in all plumber stores, and they are cheap too. no leaks.

Hi Pureclean,
Does your heater actually work with it vented through the 'floor like that?
