he had my leg up over a water pump about 2 years ago........  I wonder if his bruise has gone down hehe and I got my money back  8)

You cant really generalize like that .... 
The ones spares2go sell for 59 are labelled ametek

Also dont know this guys machine setup ... could be old ,poor wiring , filters missing ... sucking in moisture   etc

I recently aquired a Prochem machine which appears to have one of these dodgy motors sparking like mad but loads of life left on the brushes. Seller told me the motor had been replaced a few months ago.

Stripped it and gently wire brushed the contact area but still sparking like a elder so currently running on the other original vac which is surprisingly powerful.
