Get in there.
If I didn`t have one, I`d be on my way to Newcastle.
Great bit kit.

I couldn't find £12 in my wallet, let alone down the back of my couch!

You got too much money, Mike

A water tank and a demand pump and you're away, I think what's holding people back is that it looks a bit worn but then again so does Paul ;D wonder if he's got a new blower :o

Why his original asking price was too much in my opinion

How easy is the prowler to disconnect and remove from the van?? Being honest, would it be a pain to do it every night?

Also, how much diesel "per hour" does the Prowler burn?

Another also,

Whats a sensible water tank size that would a SWB transit take?? Would also want to carry an Airflex in the van.

And how much are demand pumps??

Tony

Demand pump is a flow jet probably connected to your van battery get a spark to do it for you, water tank probably 400 litres, transit is a nice size but you won't have much room if you put in a porti don't forget you need 150ft of vac and solution hose, a petrol can plus all that you have now, I can't swing a small rodent in my van most of the time I'm moving things in and out of my garage to my van on a daily basis but I don't mind saying that I have a Jag which I occassionally put in and there's just enough room to put a cigarette paper in there also :o

Shaun

PS my van is slightly bigger than SWB transit, Fiat Ducato I had a SWB tranny before.

That one Pauls selling doesn't need a demand pump as the pump is low down and draws off the tank. The ones that do need demand pumps run off the machine battery. You wouldn't want to be taking it off the van every night, not feasable.
SWB Transit would have loads of room.

There you go Tony just remember to put a little heater under the beast at night from now till...........April.

I may be wrong but I'm sure it's petrol, also I'm sure that Ian Rochester said approx 2.5 litres an hour on full revs (but that's from an old post yonks ago and my memory isn't that good) btw my TM Boxxer 427 runs on petrol £6 an hour on full revs so the Prowler is far cheaper to run.

Thanks for all the replys guys! :) Very tempted, something to think about!

Main reason for being able to take it out of van at nights is for frosty nights, so wouldn't be every night.

Cheers again

I take my Prowler in and out of the van most days/weeks as i do a lot of travelling doing insurance jobs and don't need the extra weight in the van. Once you get used to it, it's easily done. Got mine in merc vito lwb but out the rear of the van. Only have a 250 litre tank run off a demand pump when water not available through a hose. Still enough room though to get the scorpion/thermadry in as well. Take some pics when i get time.

 Mark.

Takes 1 man to take it off with ramps but 2 to push it back on

Only taken mine off a handful of times. During winter I wait until its all cooled down and then wrap a duvet around it, one on top, then put a fan heater in the back on the lowest setting.

It seems to have jumped up a bit since posting £300 now £720 is it something I said. Think I’m sure I would have got it for £450 cash!!!!!

Can you fill in any details Steve?

3 year old been used heavily its had 3 heat exchangers and a couple of hoses replaced, don't know how much he has used it since he got it in Dec last year

hi topgun, if its had little use since you had it, what would be the thing to look out for at this stage?  could the blower be due a replacement soon? the heat exchanger change, was that due to cold winters or is it a weak point on these?

cheers.

It’s obvious that Steve flog it to death but then you got trigger one broom in 17years ;) ;) ;D ;D

By name dropping it’s now going for £920 and more or less 6days to go and only 50ft of hose. The mind boggles  ::) ;)

Dennis

Am sure your not but neither am I (well may be :P) I don’t know about shaun he’s from Sheffield  ;) ;D

I got rid because it was becoming to unreliable always at the wrong times eg christmas. Pressure regulator was replaced 3 or 4 times,I personally believe the heat exchangers are a weak point on the prowler still alot cheaper than on a traditional t/m

Steve

It’s nearly Christmas what are you selling. Need to know so I don’t bid   ;) ;D

Now this is more realistic pricing

The good thing about the prowler is that its simple to work on if there are any problems. im not mechanically minded but can service the engine easily and have fixed any problems myself, with help on phone from John at restormate.
