So we had all turned up at a big comercial premesis we clean the other day
we use WFP on this job...caution signs etc.....
we have ladders on top of the van, but were not going to need them
Anyway, just out the van and were standing around waiting for the alarms to be switched off before we start, so hadnt unpacked the poles/hoses
The other side of the car park is another big office, with a group of suited and booted estate agent looking types, all staring our way and seemingly making jokey remarks at our expense...cant be sure as it was too far to hear, apart from the odd booming yuppy type laugh, and displays of humour ond mirth all over there well groomed, highlighted hair faces!!!
one of them swaggers over to us, whilst the rest watch in silence, with school boy grins all over their faces
when he gets to us he says
"FELLA'S"
a term that i really hate tbh
" We are all having a health and safety seminar over there today....wave to the guys"
we just stare at him in shocked amusement"
"Go on, wave to them"
so i wave
"Well done" he says...".now while your working here, I want you all to remember not to do anything stupid, or that you will regret...remember we are all very interested in watching you from over there today"
he turns on his lofa (no socks)covered heal and strutts off smirking to his colleagues!!!!!
What a totall twit!!!!!!!!

You shouldn't have waved. He wanders over, tells you what to do, you do it he wanders back to the group having asserted his dominance over u. Personally I don't react well to that sort of challenge and wouldn't have had a smirk in his face as he trotted back to his mates. Having said that I'm not a violent person but that p taking makes me see red every time.

I'd have given him a mouth full and told him to get back to his seminar before something happened that he would regret.
People like that are looking for trouble.

I would of said ok get the ladder but not the one with the rung missing the other one with rung missing with a piece of wood bunged in it,ohh mind the dog poop its all over the rungs. ;D

the H&S officer at one of our other jobs got 3 points and a fine for doing 38 in a 30mph limmit
its ironic tbh
an accident from speeding in a 30, involving a pedestrian is far more likely than a slipped ladder or a trip over a hose....and probably far higher chance of serious, even fatal dammage
and yet the same person still asks us to put warning signs on our buckets, and use low levels of detergent in case someone slips!!!!
