How far is your furthest job from your home or company address?
how far are you willing to travel for domestic and how far for commercial?

My biggest domestic is about 45 minutes drive from my house, similar for commercial

i got 6 which are 30 mins drive but am dumping these as it is too far

15 min drive, about 5 miles away

Furthest commercial is 30 minutes, furthest domestic a little less {but it's a biggie}.

not really I have seen this question a few times and it varies as you would expect and generally fizzes out as it is pretty uninteresting and doesn't prove anything useful whatsoever.

Intersting for me anyway finding out how far people travel before its not profitable. Obviously things have to be taken into consideration. i.e. if they live in a built up area or out in the country

Yes, I was being sarcastic and that is a fault of mine at times, and has led to many sore faces ;D
ok I will join in 3 miles domestic 5 miles commercial would go as far as the moon if it paid enough.

I am working on a store in Penrith on Sunday and then driving to kent for Monday morning!!!!

Mines going to be 479 miles and 7 hours and 20 minutes of driving, on top of driving two hours and 20 minutes to Penrith that morning.
There will be nothing enjoyable about Sunday!!!!!

45 miles commercial which pays peanuts in comparison to domestics which are approx 13.5miles away.
In reality though, the on glass cleaning pays more per hour in the commercial.

i have some shops 3 times a week about 30 mile away , but i have domestics 8-10 mile from them

If you pick up some work, say 15 miles away or further, how do you go about pricing up the job?
I wouldn't want to be travelling 30 mins plus just to give a quote?

In Whitechapel in London's East End, last week, I had a job to do about 2 miles away in the city. It took almost 2 hours to get there.
There'd been a few serious accidents and so on plus all the money being thrown at tarting the roads up for the Olympics and all the roadworks, etc. and new traffic schemes designed to hold up all the traffic designed by idiot council twats, etc and so on.
Then another 90 odd minutes to get to the next job about 1 mile away. I had 6 jobs that day and done 2.

I travel a 35 mile radius,once I have taken 1 customer in a new area I stay and canvass heavily sometimes taking a loss that day but slowly developing the area over the next few visits

mainly keep local to us did that a few yrs ago darting around to much i was mate.
