Title: Prioritising the days work
Post by: Ian101 on October 28, 2011, 06:16:09 pm
Assuming u got no bad payers or time wasters how do you decide what to do first ?

I try and mix my day up with some compact stuff and stand alone jobs and have been doing the compact stuff last part of day but with the early dark nights just around corner think I will be doing the compact stuff first then the stand alone stuff.

I start at the furthest point,

Usually about 100 miles from base and then work back.

All good fun,

Dean.

My day is normally governed by the traffic. I have to plan it to avoid the school run or the dustbin run. If it's a beautiful day then I get tempted to clean the rural properties and enjoy the views.

I try to do my best paying jobs first so that I have earn't more than 50% of the days takings before lunch time.

i mix smaller houses with good houses that pay better for less amounts of time, to even it out a 30 pounds per hour, i only work half an hour a day mind :-)

plus put the betetr easier ones after lunch so you won't dread the afternoon so much

I try and do the custies who like a chat near the end of the day.
Otherwise it can really put me behind on hitting the days target.
Don't get me wrong I like having a chat with custies but some of them can talk for England!

i make sure the real graft jobs are all done on the mornings, the coasting jobs after lunch . i dont like any nasty face jobs after 3 pm,by that time im often in an unusual mood, sometimes very good -sometimes not . In fact the other week nearly ended in fists with a bloke who got uppity at where i had parked ,my lads found this really funny !
in hindsight,i was tired , but i still think i was right in bellowing "youre a fookin arse-hole "
