Some of my commercial work can be a right pain to get paid from, one cleaning company always pay late even though they told me 30 days and even if they hadn't been paid in that time they would still pay me.
well last Tuesday I recieved a remittence via email saying payment made by bacs as usual it was 8 days days late, however checked bank today and no payment received, bacs always takes 2 days so it shouls have been in my account yesterday.
another one is a management company who are now 9 days late with payment, again suppossed to pay on 30 day basis.
yes commercial work can be rewarding but sometimes its a right pain in the arse getting paid.

You're damn right there.
I find given time some start to take the p!$$, however, generally they pay as they say they will to start with but after a few visits things start to slip.
Saying that, started a nice Nhs contract last month, money in the bank when they said, another comm. job started last month, paid on the button. 3 months ago builder went down the swanny, theyre in administration now, so might get something in 18 months.

I always used to warn about chasing the goldern goose (called commercial) and what to be prepared for.
Having £600 jobs on your books is all very good, but only if you are being paid for it, or can afford to wait for the payment, or at worst can afford to write it off if the business goes bust.
This is all a bit different to writing off £20 domestic customers.
