been asked to clean one , is it just a case of standard WFP'ing it?
Custy reckons it has some dodgy film/chemical built into it to self clean?
cheers
-
Yes but it has no effect on cleaning wfp>The film absorbs light and heat to brake down any bio degradable material on the service so the rain cane wash it away but this does not work.
-
Will WFP work then?
-
Yep
-
Lovely job
cheers fellas

Yes, but I never use TFR on the self cleaning glass. it might be ok to do so but I just never take the risk. easy to clean without.
-
some custys have new patio doors with this on. apparently not supposed to use chemicals on it. but wfp fine. the idea of self cleaning glass is good, but needs brushing when wet still to remove dirt property. thats where we come in. :)

I always tell them that self cleaning glass means that they need to clean it themselves.
I charge extra for self cleaning glass.
-
Did one exactly the same on Monday
Just used pure, no chemical-came up a treat. Steep pitch but under trees. Lasted 4 yrs until I cleaned it, not in bad nick though

The self cleaning glass was never made for the self cleaning advantage but retain heat some clever marketing doff though it would work in theory.\The fellows who sell do not make a big deals of this advantage.

Self clean roofs scratch VERY easyerly so be warned, the film on the roof isit very forgiving so make sure you brush is grit free mate...
-
on these roofs and plastic (polyuerothane) roofs dont use the stiff mono brush either! they can also scratch apperently
-
How can you tell if it's self cleaning glass
-
hasn't self cleaning glass got a slight tint (blue?)
