Been asked to quote for a builders clean on a new build property and also on a site of 11,
No idea what to charge or how hard / how long it will take can anyone help.
Also the site with 11 would require the showhome and sales office cleaning every fortnight so would be an ongoing contract till they all sell, then hopefully I''ll also pick up the new owners as domestics ;D
prob is I have no idea where to pitch in to get the business
please help
P.S I'm in Yorkshire and with a lot of people it is true what they say about long pockets and tight fists :D

Hi Dexter,
Is it just for the windows or for the full builders clean? Ie floors, toilets, light sockets, kitchens etc?
Dran.

Take a very good look at how hard the job will be,.. and then realise it will always take twice as long as you think. Figure out what you should charge going by your hourly rate then DOUBLE IT!!!
ALWAYS get a waiver signed before you put a blade on the glass.

to give you a idea just finished a nursing home for a builder
full builders clean
62 apartments 2 bed with wet rooms £125 per unit
sparkle £60 per unit
common areas £2600
done 3 bed houses recently same builder £165 and £75 as above
also done a deal with them regarding painters cleaning all paint from surfaces as ive come across them before (messy b___tar-s) so this was minimal but can be time consuming if not allowed for especially cleaning from ironmongery
down south but prices shouldnt vary much
-gang of 3 does 4 / day for me

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the replies and advice,
This is just for a builders clean on the windows. I think I'm gonna take the advice and go for working it out and then doubling it to be sure,
cheers

Be very careful if you're pricing per unit and not on a day rate, as some builders don't/won't pay for down time, so if you're hanging around through no fault of your own you don't get a penny for it.
I was recently asked to price up a site which would require cherry picker work but they insisted they wouldn't pay a day rate so I walked away from it.
I've done site work in the past where it was a nightmare getting hold of the cherry picker and glad it wasn't priced per unit because I'd of been out of pocket
