That looks like sisal if it is the genuine then they are prone to shrink. I have extracted a few but knowledge
on the installation is required before you proceed. You could also low moisture clean or clean stages at a time.
Very often these are lucrative jobs as few people will go to any trouble and the cost of replacement like for like is high. If you do not have the experience you are better off passing it by.

Quite handy having this offcut, cos first impression it looks like a non woven back, but as per
the pics you can see yarns running in the ribs and yarns running at right angles.
Talking of running..... ::)
