Title: BVC Vacuum cleaners CV6U
Post by: Buckland on October 24, 2011, 05:37:08 pm
Thought I'd got a real bargain on Ebay but looks like I've been done again...

Just got delivery of a BRAND NEW IN BOX CV6U made by BVC - they say they stopped making (or distributing) years ago - its VERY similar to a Sebo BS36 - the Powerhead is identical down to last detail - i.e. like the Diversey Ensign etc.

The one I bought works as designed but suddenly for no reason vacuum motor cuts out (under load?) and the red running light does not light up at all

1. Anyone got one of these (the last British-made or at least assembled! commercial upright vacuum cleaner - have you got a manual for it?

2. Anyone know what vacuum motor this takes  if the problem is not just loose contacts - the bags are available and it seems to be similar to the Victor upright v470

Any information gratefully received...

Thanks

Dave
