I have an L5 water heater it works fine, its set up after the pump. Only works on the one reel though. I wanted it to be able to service the two reels. If i was to fit the heater inbetween the tank outlet and the T piece when it then goes to the pumps, should it run fine with water being sucked through? Obviously assuming its not to hot going through the pumps. Just wondered if anyone has tried it like this?

I thought the pumps were for cold water only Mike, although I could be wrong ???. Im going to put mine back in the van soon and I was planning on putting it after the pump and before the spliitter.....

Hi
I played safe with mine and put the L5 after the pump. I don't think I've heard of anyone putting hot water via a pump, but it's possible. Whether it's advisable is another matter.
Try Shurflo website for advice on this:

Reckon it would kill the diaphram in your pump in no time , just guessing though .

I think you'll find that the people who are using immersion heaters are putting hot water through the pump. ;)
