Title: GOING TO INSULATE VAN WITH CELOXTEX BOARDS TOMORROW
Post by: PureClean Window Cleaning Ltd on October 21, 2011, 11:31:22 pm
anyone else done this? last year i had to take 2 reels, 2 barrels and ro into the house every night, blew out all the tubes, including the 5mm pipes, right pain it was.

so im hoping this will sort that prob out,

i have bought a polystyrene cover for the outside tap, hope that works, had to pour kettles over it last year

im hoping to either box in everything or line the sides, roof and floor with stuff?

will try and take pics of the mess im going to make!

I'm going down the immersion heater in the tank route, hopefully this weekend.

And also going to insulate my outside tap properly this year, last two years frost has knackered it

Be good to see before and after pix, i want to do my caddy, but its a problem of time and moeny at the mo.  Was getting to get it all proffessionally ply lined, and stick insulcation behind it.  I have heater in it in winter time, just a bit of a bind. Will prob stil need that when its bad, it will just not leak heat quite as much.

Want to build tiled car port for van to be parked in too, this will keep frost off it, that will be next years expenses tho i am afraid!

If you look at www.diy.com  and look for insulation boards there is various options available which should work as well . MIKE

thanks mike, what i really need is something easily removable so as not to use up space. im thinking of leaving the tank, as all i had was ice at the top, but maybe insulating the exit pipe as i had to pour boiling water over that every morning too.

im thinking insulating pump, barrels, ro and reels. and just draining the pipes each night.

Try this place

http://aandainsulationservices.com

Celotex boards at knock down prices.
Used them for my extension and saved a fortune!
Apparently a 25mm thick board is equivalent to 100mm of Rockwool.
Look at the Seconds Section.
