Post by: Billy Russell on October 21, 2011, 09:42:05 pm
Hi All,

Just wondered if you could help me, a friend of mine has just rang me, and don't ask me why but he took his engine cap off while the car was running and the oil went all over his windscreen, he's tried in vain with allsorts to try getting it off but he cant, have you guys got any suggestions please?

Cheers

Billy

gunk should do it, it is only a degreaser so shouldn't damage the windscreen

Cellulose thinners should shift it, it won't hurt the glass but don't get it on the paintwork or it will damage the paint.  ;)

Methylated Spirit. I'm a huge fan - for all sorts of things. I even add it to my tank in cold weather.
Not a bad drink either  ;D
