In our local paper today there is an article about the window cleaner who does all the shops in our town, Romsey in Hamopshire.
The present owner of the business has just had his barrow refurbished as its been around since 1946, he is the third owner of the business.
Theres a picture of the vicar and the window cleaner standing by the barrow.
Apparently he blessed the barrow and recited a window cleaners prayer which they found.
Anyone else heard of the window cleaners prayer? I think I need it!
On a sad note I saw today on Yahoo a report of a window cleaner who had fallen from his ladder, I think in Shropshire and was fighting for his life. Appaentlly he was moving towards WFP, hopefully he will be ok.

A Window Cleaner’s Prayer
Oh, God, when I have food,
help me to remember the hungry;
when I have windows to clean, help me
to remember the jobless;
when I have a warm home,
help me to remember the homeless;
when I am with out pain,
help me to remember those that suffer;
and remembering, help me
to destroy my complacency
and bestir my compassion.
Make me concerned enough
to help, by word and deed,
those who cry out
for what I take for granted.

Father of eight, poor bloke.
